There are several apps that are pre-loaded onto the new LG Ally that make it a great purchase if for no other reason than their existence. These apps are: Life360, Wikitude, Speed View, Hoccer, Foursquare, Yelp, Wertago, Shopsavvy, and Shazam. Each of these apps has a unique purpose and is quite interesting.
Life360 will prove to be a vital app in the future. It allows the owner of the device to track their family members and instantly send alert messages with but the touch of a button. This type of application can come in incredibly handy when the family is traveling or someone gets lost.
Wikitude is a welcome addition to any app arsenal. It acts in the manner of a futuristic wikipedia to allow the owner to overlay real world images through augmented reality with information on important landmarks, cities, or anything else of interest.
Speed View is an interesting little app that utilizes the built-in GPS system. The app will be able to record information on current and top speeds, as well as, information on distance, direction, and time traveled.
